We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Azure Systems Administrator to support our IT infrastructure, including Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, and Microsoft Azure cloud services. This role is ideal for a systems admin with solid experience in virtualization and server management, who is looking to deepen their cloud skill set. You'll be responsible for maintaining system health, performing upgrades, ensuring up time, and supporting end-user computing environments.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server OS
  • Manage Active Directory infrastructure, including user/group administration, OU structure, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP
  • Perform system updates, patch management, and scheduled maintenance to ensure stability and compliance
  • Troubleshoot server performance issues, login problems, and domain-related issues
  • Support file servers, print servers, licensing services, and other core infrastructure roles
  • Assist in planning and executing server migrations, upgrades, and backups
  • Administer VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and VM management
  • Create, configure, and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and resource pools
  • Monitor and tune performance of virtual environments; troubleshoot VM-related issues
  • Manage and maintain high availability (HA), vMotion, and storage integrations
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including VMware Tools updates, VM provisioning, and host patching
  • Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization across the virtual infrastructure
  • Support backup and recovery of virtual machines using integrated tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault)
  • Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines, disks, and snapshots
  • Support and troubleshoot Azure Networking components: VNETs, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and VPN connections
  • Perform user/group management in Azure Active Directory and sync monitoring (AAD Connect)
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and related tools
  • Assist in implementing or supporting Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and Azure Storage (Blob, Files)
  • Respond to escalated service desk tickets (Tier 2/3) for server, VM, and cloud-related issues
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures
  • Participate in infrastructure projects such as server builds, cloud migrations, or virtualization upgrades
  • Collaborate with security and networking teams to enforce policies and maintain compliance
  • 4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere and vCenter
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, particularly IaaS services like VMs, networking, and AAD
  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills for task automation and reporting
