About The Position

The Azure Specialist provides hands-on administration and operational support for Microsoft Azure cloud environments, with a focus on secure IaaS and PaaS solutions. This role supports the deployment, configuration, and sustainment of Azure resources across multi-subscription and multi-tenant architectures, operating in both commercial and government cloud tenants. The SA II works under general supervision, applying established procedures and best practices to ensure system availability, security, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience administering Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
  • Experience managing Azure resources in multi-subscription and multi-tenant architectures.
  • Knowledge of Azure security best practices.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
  • This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.
  • DOD 8570 Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Azure certifications recommended; security-focused experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS resources in accordance with approved architectures and security requirements.
  • Deploy and manage Azure resources across multiple subscriptions and tenants, ensuring proper access controls, governance, and segmentation.
  • Support secure Azure environments in commercial and government cloud tenants in compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.
  • Perform routine system administration tasks, including resource provisioning, configuration changes, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain Azure security controls, including identity and access management and resource-level protections.
  • Assist with system hardening, patching, and configuration management activities.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, escalating issues as appropriate and supporting incident resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures to support audits and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cybersecurity personnel to support system upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements.
