About The Position

As a Penske Azure Cloud Developer, you will engage in all aspects of the Azure Software Development lifecycle, supporting existing development efforts and troubleshooting issues while developing new software modules across multiple projects. The role includes leading the design of software components, consulting with process owners, and mentoring junior engineers, all while staying updated on industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Development Experience in Java.
• 3+ years of experience in developing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in Azure Cognitive Services, AI/ML, and Azure services like Azure App Services and Azure SQL Database.
• Experience with Java development in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud application architecture and design principles.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python programming.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Create and maintain Angular websites integrated with Back End services.
• Responsive/Adaptive design experience (Desktop and Mobile).
• Familiarity with Typescript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS, Swagger, Postman.
• Experience with Gulp, Maven, GIT, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Artifactory.
• Familiarity with UML, Splunk, Elastic Search.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle.
• Support existing software development efforts and develop new software modules.
• Lead the design of certain software components.
• Consult with process owners to review and develop systems according to user requirements.
• Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Act as the primary contact for multiple application modules, resolving customer issues promptly.
• Develop, maintain, test, and analyze performance of applications and code.
• Delegate tasks and review code from junior developers.
• Conduct new hire interviews and produce well-documented code adhering to coding standards.
• Design Back End database schemas and write complex SQL statements.
• Write unit/UI tests and leverage CI/CD for code deployment.
• Triage production issues and collaborate with multiple teams for problem analysis.
• Implement best practices for cloud application security, compliance, and governance.
