Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support our active funded government client. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This position requires an Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance, supporting a DOJ FBI five-year contract. The primary work location is Patriots Plaza in Washington DC (with a possible work location of Mission Ridge in Chantilly, VA upon special request and client approval). Some telework flexibility may be available on a case-by-case basis.

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Provision and configure Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components
  • Automate deployment and management processes using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and availability of cloud environments
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with development and IT operations teams to support application deployment and maintenance
  • Architect and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents in a timely manner
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on Azure services and best practices
  • Participate in technical milestone reviews, architecture sessions, and resource estimation
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure
  • Stay current with the latest Azure technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and deployment models
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, and load balancers
  • Experience implementing and managing Azure security controls and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Azure identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC)
  • Experience with monitoring and managing cloud costs and resource optimization
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud administration
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of database services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
  • Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery planning in cloud environments
  • Understanding of government cloud environments (Azure Government)
  • Experience working in a federal government IT environment, especially with FBI or DOJ
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment
