About The Position

Cognizant is seeking an Azure Devops Engineer for a full-time remote opportunity in the US. Applicants must be physically located in the US and have valid US work authorization. We do not offer visa sponsorship. The compensation range for this role is between $115,000 and $131,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 02/10/2026.

Requirements

Configure and manage Kubernetes workloads, including configuring Deployments, Services, HPA, and Ingress.
Deploying applications on Kubernetes platforms.
Setting up the environment and configuring Kubernetes Namespaces
Monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting of applications on Kubernetes.
Managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker-related issues.
Strong experience with CI/CD.
Experience with developing and maintaining Helm Charts for applications deployed in Kubernetes.
Creating Docker images - This includes writing Docker files, defining all the software and setup that an application requires to run within a container.
Managing Docker image registries - This identifies where Docker images are stored and provides a place to push and pull images. Quay preferred.
Proficiency with AWS EKS.

Responsibilities

Lead and Implement End-to-End DevOps Enhancements: Drive the design and implementation of DevOps enhancements, such as Blue-Green deployments, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Collaborate with application architects to review solutions, addressing any questions and concerns to ensure alignment and efficacy.
Analyze Dependencies and Impacts Across Enterprise Initiatives: Conduct a thorough analysis of dependencies and potential impacts of various enterprise and application change initiatives. This includes identifying and resolving conflicts, such as those arising from ERE EKS migration, transitioning from AIX to Linux, and datacenter migrations.
Exhibit Strong Problem-Solving Skills and DevOps Expertise: Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving capabilities by quickly identifying root causes of issues within DevOps and technical application changes
Document and Communicate DevOps Enhancements: Clearly articulate, summarize, and meticulously document all enhancements in the DevOps domain. Ensure that relevant stakeholders have a thorough understanding of the changes being implemented.
Assess Infrastructure Upgrades and Their Application Impact: Develop a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure upgrades and effectively communicate their potential impacts on the application landscape. Simultaneously, grasp the implications of these changes on application functionality and performance.
