About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Azure Data Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on Azure experience to join our growing team. Our data team supports a wide range of internal customers including Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales by delivering scalable, secure, and high-impact data solutions. As an Azure Data Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

Requirements

• Bring 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure data services in a professional setting.
• Have a strong grasp of data modeling, SQL, and cloud-based data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Stream Analytics, and Power BI Premium.
• Work with on-premises tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS to integrate legacy systems with modern cloud solutions.
• Design normalized relational and/or dimensional data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement enterprise reporting models.
• Administer and optimize our data solutions for performance, scalability and reliability.
