The Azure Cloud Engineer will formulate and define the scope of systems and objectives with an understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements. This role involves providing recommendations for developing or modifying applications, code, programs, or databases, using research and fact-finding to ensure that the delivered product meets the user's expectations. The engineer will operate from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view, communicating strategies and solutions with non-technical team members. Responsibilities include analyzing business application requirements for functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, marketing, or human resources, writing code, testing and debugging software applications, architecting and designing technical solutions to solve business challenges, and documenting software specifications while training users. The position requires an experienced cloud developer who can assist with enabling and automating the infrastructure to fully leverage the Azure Cloud. The engineer will work on a variety of projects at the forefront of cloud technology adoption, ensuring applications are cloud optimized by architecting them correctly to benefit from elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation, and high availability. The role involves working with Azure platform services such as Azure App Services, Auto Scaling, SQL Managed Instances, and Redis Cache, among others. The ideal candidate is a highly talented, hands-on technical individual who is passionate about automation infrastructure development using ARM Templates, PowerShell, and Biceps, and is capable of advising and implementing Azure best practices.
