Cloud Architect - Azure
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud solutions. This is a hands-on consulting and architecture role requiring deep expertise across all Azure platforms and services. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Infrastructure, Networking, and InfraOps, with the ability to architect and build secure, scalable environments independently. This position requires a balance of technical leadership, architectural vision, and hands-on execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working in an architect-level capacity in cloud or infrastructure environments.
- Extensive hands-on Azure experience (minimum 5 years, ideally 10+) across all major Azure services and platforms.
- Strong Networking, Platform, and Infrastructure Operations (InfraOps) expertise.
- Proven ability to independently design and implement complex Azure environments.
- Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Azure governance, security, and compliance principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to guide technical discussions and decisions.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Azure certifications (Architect Expert, Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer, etc.).
- Experience with government-level or regulated security frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA HIGH).
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architecture, networking, and security integrations.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud modernization or migration initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of Azure cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Build, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade Azure environments with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with leadership, architects, and engineering teams to define and implement technical strategies.
- Serve as a technical mentor and leader within the cloud architecture team.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated and consistent deployments.
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, leveraging Azure best practices and governance frameworks.
- Ensure all cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
