The Azure Architect role is crucial for designing scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, adhering to the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework. This position demands a deep understanding of various Azure services, expertise in identity and access management, business continuity, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, and cost management.

Requirements

Deep Understanding of Azure's core services across compute (Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Service), networking (Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Azure DNS, VPN Gateway), storage (Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Queue Storage, Azure Disks), and databases (Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Ability to design scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, aligning with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.
Expertise in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including user and group management, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access.
Ability to design and implement BCDR solutions using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other relevant services.
Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights for monitoring the health, performance, and security of Azure environments.
Ability to optimize Azure spending and implement cost control measures.
5-10 years of overall cloud experience, with a focus on Azure native cloud services.
Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure solutions.
Experience with various Azure services and implementing architectural best practices.
Familiarity with migrating applications and workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues in Azure environments.
Capacity to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Azure solutions.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and security.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, aligning with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.
Manage user and group access, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access within Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
Design and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other relevant services.
Monitor the health, performance, and security of Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Optimize Azure spending and implement cost control measures.
Design, deploy, and manage Azure solutions, applying architectural best practices.
Migrate applications and workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.
Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues in Azure environments.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Azure solutions.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and security personnel.
