About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Azure AI Engineer to support our client's contract needs. This position is located in the Washington DC area and will be a hybrid remote position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Experience implementing AI Based automation using Azure Document Intelligence
  • Ability to customize and leverage pre built Azure APIs
  • Experience with retrieving and filtering data using Cognitive search
  • Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Pipelines, ADLS and Blob Storage
  • Experience with Azure Services (Azure Functions, Blob Storage, SQL, Event Grid)
  • Experience with integrating third party SaaS APIs (point, Dynamics 365, etc.)
  • Prior experience with training and fine tuning Machine learning models, entity recognition and metadata extraction
  • Strong understanding of OCR, NLP and Entity recognition
  • Ability to design Azure Functions and Power Automate custom connectors to enhance ETL operations
  • Strong debugging, and performance optimization skills
  • Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain PBGC Public Trust

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with retraining pipelines for continuous improvement of AI Models
  • Proficiency in Python etc for AI model development
  • Ability to automate AI Workflows using Machine Learning Pipelines and Azure Functions
  • Experience with monitoring AI Model performance using Azure Monitor and Application insights
  • Experience developing solutions using MS Power Apps and Power Automate
  • SQL knowledge
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database
  • Experience with implementing authentication and security (oAuth, Azure AD)
  • Able to design systems and asynchronous workflows using Azure Functions and Event Driven architecture

Responsibilities

  • Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as C++, visual basic, ABAP, JAVA, XTML, etc.
  • Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
  • May design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users.
  • Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • May build add-on modules using application program language.
  • Designs and codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
  • Maintains and modifies existing software applications.
  • Analyzes detailed systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution.
  • Performs modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
  • Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards.
