The Sexual Violence Advocacy and Support Center (SVASC) at Bridgewater State University is dedicated to reducing incidents of sexual assault and relationship violence on campus and within the community. The SVAS Center, in compliance with best practices and recommendations of Massachusetts Department of Higher Education and the CDC, uses innovative approaches to educate and create awareness around topics of sexual assault, harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. To better serve, support, and ensure the safety of our BSU family, the center promotes the ideals of respect, community, responsibility, and nonviolence. The SVASC is seeking assistance with increasing its visibility on campus and providing the campus community with violence prevention education through digital means. The SVASC Peer Educator and Digital Engagement Coordinator will help increase awareness about sexual and relationship violence prevention through creative means such as managing the center's social media accounts, creating and implementing monthly digital campaigns, and designing event flyers. Additional integral duties include providing advocacy to survivors seeking support and resources from the SVAS Center.
