About The Position

AY Submersible Pump Assembler Lead – This leadership position is responsible for both hands-on assembly and oversight of the submersible pump assembly team at Baker Manufacturing’s new AY Pump Warehouse. The Lead ensures daily production runs efficiently and meets quality and safety expectations. This role includes guiding team members, troubleshooting assembly processes, and maintaining accurate records while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. An ideal candidate for this position would have 1+ year manufacturing lead experience

Requirements

One year of Leadership experience required in a manufacturing setting.
Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly; prior pump or motor assembly experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably EPICOR and basic computer skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Competence in basic data entry or inventory tracking systems.
Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and lead a small team effectively.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Ok with working in moderate to loud noise levels are typical in the environment
Prior experience assembling pump components including motors, shafts, impellers, seals, and related parts using hand and power tools for AY machine experience
Can interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accurate builds.
Work great both alone and in teams
High school diploma or GED required.
