About the position
The AWS Python Pyspark Consultant role at Cognizant is designed for an experienced architect with a strong background in AWS, Python, and PySpark. This position involves leading the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance solutions that align with business goals. The consultant will provide technical guidance, mentor development teams, and ensure best practices are followed in cloud-based application development. This hybrid role allows for both remote and on-site work, with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable high-performance solutions using AWS Python and PySpark.
- Oversee the development and deployment of cloud-based applications and services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams to ensure best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the architecture aligns with business goals and objectives providing strategic value to the company.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and performance.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues in the architecture ensuring robust and reliable solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the architecture.
- Optimize existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement security best practices to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to solve complex problems.
Requirements
- 10 to 14 years of experience in AWS, Python, and PySpark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable high-performance solutions.
- Experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based architectures and best practices.
- Proficient in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance.
