CGI has an immediate need for a AWS Operation Support Analyst/Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.   • Provide day-to-day operational support for business-critical systems, applications, and services.
  • Monitor system performance and availability using monitoring tools; investigate and resolve system alerts and incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to avoid future disruptions.
  • Respond to service tickets and ensure timely resolution of user and system issues.
  • Work with engineering and development teams to deploy software releases, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain and support automation scripts and tools for system maintenance and reporting.
  • Document operational processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support change management and release management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in analysis, maintaining and deploying application on AWS Cloud.
  • Develop and execute strategic cloud infrastructure plans and drive best practices.
  • Document and Implement step by step application Production deployment plans.
  • Strong experience developing shakeout plans for robust applications and executing.
  • Experience performing resiliency activities and identifying gaps in plans.
  • Develop sound version control best practices-based code deployment in AWS.
  • Hands on experience CI/CD with Terraform pipelines and Gitlab.
  • Experience building engineering solutions on AWS cloud.
  • Experience in scripting and automation using Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
  • Strong SQL skills in databases, including DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in application monitoring and tuning.
  • Experience in front-end development Angular/ADK, typescript is a plus.
  • Available to problem solving application issues, client communications and actively engage in support and operations.
  • Experience deploying serverless application, familiarity with AWS Services.
  • Experience in building automation testing frameworks.
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
  • Understand and utilize DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test and promote new or updated features.
  • Available to respond to trouble/support calls for applications in production to make quick repair to keep application running in production.
  • Create or Update documentation in support of development efforts.
  • Familiar with other cloud services like azure or gcp.
  • Familiar with CI/CD with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline.
