The AWS Infrastructure Engineer position involves leading systems administration activities to support the development and delivery of innovative systems for analytics, exploitation, production, and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. The role requires building Windows instances, performing deployments across various environments, and collaborating with internal and external teams.

  • Lead systems administration activities for building and delivering new systems.
  • Build Windows instances and perform deployments to development, testing, and operational environments.
  • Patch and troubleshoot systems as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external development teams and enterprise components.
  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph post-hire.
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance.
  • Experience with cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • System design and architecture knowledge (hardware, software, and networking).
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience deploying GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems along with technologies such as WMS, WFS, KML.
  • Experience with various AWS capabilities and services.
  • Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams.
  • Proven troubleshooting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both virtual and in-person).
  • Familiarity with team collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat).
  • Microsoft and/or AWS certifications.
