About The Position

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) engineer, you’ll join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers to design, build, and maintain products and services for our clients. You’ll coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your client’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll advise on new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and business needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of commercial clients. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Cloud architecture and infrastructure, orchestration and automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and threat intelligence while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with designing and deploying complex solutions in AWS.
  • Experience with working in government Cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud, MilCloud, or C2S.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including VPCs, EC2, Network, ELB, and S3.
  • Experience with automation for Cloud environments, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with programming languages and practices, including scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of Web services environments, languages, and formats, including RESTful APIs, HTML, JavaScript, XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with other Cloud Service Providers, including Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Agile development methods.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated team player.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
