Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Proficiency with Linux-based systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with security automation and compliance scanning tools
  • Strong understanding of networking, system architecture, and security principles
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and GitOps practices
  • Experience running, deploying, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure in AWS (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, LakeFormation)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a government contracting environment
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or CompTIA Security+
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and secure SDLC frameworks
  • Experience with MongoDBs

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure Developer Services, GitHub CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Container orchestration systems (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Azure Kubernetes Service)
  • Integrate security tools and practices into the DevOps process (SAST, DAST, secrets scanning, vulnerability management)
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Support cloud-native architecture and deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and security teams to streamline and secure the software delivery process
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, pipelines, and application issues to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Automate configuration management, deployment, and scaling of applications
  • Ensure systems are compliant with security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC)
  • Maintain and improve observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog)
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
