About The Position

AWS DevOps and DevSecOps Engineer The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges. As a mid-level AWS DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to effect mission-forward change. On our team, you'll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps experience, you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You'll assist in the migration of the current application from an Impact Level 2 to an Impact Level 5 approved environment. Additionally, you'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS services, including VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, AWS Glue, ECS/Fargate, ECR, CloudFront, and API Gateway
  • 3+ years of experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Helm charts
  • 3+ years of experience automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and deploying releases across environments
  • 2+ years of experience resolving CI/CD pipeline issues
  • 2+ years of experience with containerized applications
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Typescript development with Proficiency in Bash scripting, SQL, and Python or TypeScript
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain an IAT Level II Security+ Certification within 3 months of start

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoD ATO processes and FedRAMP compliance
  • Experience with Keycloak or other identity and access management solutions
  • Experience with Next.js, React, NestJS, or modern web application stacks
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud and migrating workloads from Impact Level 2 to Impact Level 5 environments
  • Experience implementing security controls for NIST 800-53 and DoD SRG compliance
  • Experience with observability tools, including Elastic Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Experience with policy-as-code tools, such as AWS Config
  • Knowledge of PostGIS and geospatial data processing
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AWS Certification, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification
