About The Position

Would you like to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve the world's most complex technical problems? This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems. AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them. AWS Commerce Platform provides the infrastructure and services that enable AWS teams to sell their services to AWS customers, as well as help customers understand and manage their infrastructure costs. AWS Commerce Platform computes the bills for AWS customers based on their usage, invoices them and collects payments. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Requirements

Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience
Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent
3+ years of work with networking fundamentals or Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, DNS, HTTP/S, or equivalent experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Nice To Haves

3+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
3+ years of work supporting procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
Experience in networking and troubleshooting
Experience with performance and log analysis

Responsibilities

The ADC Commerce Platform team is seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations
Have a solid understanding of Linux, networking, and general knowledge of cloud services
Engineers who understand how to think big, and simplify solutions to complex problems; all the while ensuring that our customers continue to have the best experience possible
Dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue
Investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction
Discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes
Provide troubleshooting and operations support, and innovate to automate operational tasks
The ADC Commerce Platform team supports AWS Commerce Platform and is responsible for several hundred production services and pipelines
Our team provides support for these services that have far-reaching and significant impact to Commerce Platform.
