Role Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, data engineering best practices, and modern ETL frameworks to enable scalable and reliable data processing for advanced analytics and business intelligence.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong AWS expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, S3, Athena.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark/Spark.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling for analytical workloads.
  • Experience with ETL frameworks, data lake architecture, and big data processing.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions).
  • Knowledge of data security is the best practice and AWS IAM policies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services (Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, S3).
  • Implement data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and governance across all AWS environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and version control.
  • Writing Terraform scripts but they need to be hands on
