Join our team working on one of our most prestigious programs delivering Cloud modernization and operations to the Department of the Air Force on the Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services (ACSS) contract. Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer Jr. This position focuses on AWS Engineering and is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness. Location: This position will be hybrid remote, selected candidates will be required to travel onsite as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • US citizenship required.
  • IAT-2 and one or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in a customer-facing position.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux Servers, and related services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with AWS console, services, and infrastructure as code automation, Jira, Confluence, GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other Cloud One environment teams, development, operations, security, and product management.
  • Use and drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and related automation such as GitLab pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and automated testing.
  • Implement / integrate with identity and access management solutions, security monitoring frameworks, and other multi-cloud common services.
  • Support customer onboarding and implement a consistent pathway to cloud adoption.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
