About The Position

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for defense and intelligence community clients. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuring and optimizing AWS services such as compute, storage, networking, and security. You will also implement cloud security controls to ensure compliance with DoD requirements, automate cloud operations and deployment pipelines, monitor cloud infrastructure performance and costs, and collaborate with security teams to maintain security best practices. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise for cloud strategy and architecture decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of AWS networking and security services.
  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to operate in classified environments supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • AWS Associate-level Certification such as Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator Associate, or Developer Associate Certification.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or DoD 8410 CSSP Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS GovCloud or Impact Level regions such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, or IL-6.
  • Experience with containerization, including Docker, ECS, or EKS.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or a related field.
  • AWS Professional-level Certification such as Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty Certification.
  • CISSP, CCSP, and AWS Security Specialty Certifications.
