About The Position

AWS Cloud Engineer The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an AWS engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. As an AWS Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your AWS skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good. Join us. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • 3+ years of experience building, operating, and maintaining compliant computing environments in AWS
  • 3+ years of experience with Terraform
  • 3+ years of experience managing Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab and GitHub
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
  • Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
  • Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
  • Agile Certification
  • DevOps Certification
  • Cloud Certification
