MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As an AWS Cloud Developer Senior Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following: Provide expert knowledge while working across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during deployment Build and maintain technical relationships with others in the organization and technology providers by participating in cloud technology discussions and aligning solutions with client needs Provide expert communication, ensuring that managers, team members, stakeholders within the organization, and clients are kept informed of relevant trends and projects Research new or alternative technologies, document findings, conduct pilots and evaluate multiple vendors, make recommendations, and develop business cases to justify the investment Manage escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues Mentor and train staff, ensuring they are up to speed on critical processes and technologies related to the organizations’ goals and soft skills needed to succeed Develop timelines for projects Contribute to budgeting for and understand the financial impact of cloud technology decisions Create functional requirements/specifications documents Guide the selection, implementation and deployment processes for new cloud technology rollouts WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Requirements

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Demonstratable AWS architecture experience.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and desired state configuration.
  • Red Hat and/or Linux experience
  • Motivated team player. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and requirements
  • Creativity in problem resolution. Comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities
