About The Position

WWT is seeking strategic and hands-on AWS Cloud Architect who will be responsible for new cloud architecture design, development and integration of new architectural features into existing cloud infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Lead multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cybersecurity system architecture. Able to apply cyber security standards, directives, guidance and policies to a cloud architectural framework. Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs for the cloud hosting environment. Provide broad based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and specific cyber security initiatives relating to cloud architectural design and development. Resolve cloud architecture implementation issues during integration and test. Interface with internal and external entities for various solution related activities. Ability to develop and deliver end--to-end ,complex, enterprise level solutions that meet current and future capability requirements.

Requirements

  • Cloud Architect Certifications (Google Cloud preferred, or AWS and Azure) and Certified FinOps Practitioner
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google cloud or AWS and Azure.
  • At least 8 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s computer science, finance, Engineer or related field degree with at least 15 years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools.
  • Experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines.
  • Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the cloud optimization activities and make recommendations on reserved capacity strategy, utilization optimization opportunities, product architectural recommendations to promote cost savings, and discounts for optimization.
  • Experience in driving deep architectural discussions to help customers ensure they are making the most cost-efficient cloud usage choices.
  • Lead, develop, and implement the processes and capabilities required that ensure costs optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Analyze, optimize, and implement cost optimization actions over different cloud services, particularly IaaS resources
  • Lead a team of Cloud Engineers
  • Implement and manage automated tools to help identify cost trends, anomalies, and track budget (actuals vs estimates)
  • Support our Product Team in building automation that optimizes our internal as well as our customers cloud environments
  • Create financial and usage dashboards
  • Work with the financial teams on budget, forecast, tagging and related FinOps centric KPI’s and SLA analytics and reporting requirements
  • Lead technical teams to design and implement new services in the most cost-efficient way
  • Work in a dynamic environment and produce high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
