Act as a Cloud Application Engineer in his/her area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions. This position is located onsite in Lake County.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience in Information Technology industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong hands-on technology experience developing applications on AWS cloud
  • Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
  • Experience working with Java, Python or other modern programming languages
  • A passion to learn new software technologies
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directly involve in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services (AWS), including troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • This position demands critical thinking skills, ability to quickly understand existing systems and the ability to work in agile environments.
  • Building Cloud Native Services using REST APIs, Microservices based architectures, and containerized technologies
  • Building in high-scale distributed systems and fault tolerant design
  • Develop Agile and Test-driven development methodologies
  • Develop the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
