About The Position

As a Cloud Advisor, you will be responsible for outbound sales prospecting, lead qualification and demand generation for Mission Cloud Services. You will develop expertise in the AWS ecosystem, build relationships with the AWS sales teams. You have a competitive, goal-oriented mentality and strive for excellence in everything you do, working on a team to drive business at Mission and help prospects and clients harness the power of the cloud. As part of a high-impact Cloud Advisor team, you are the foundation of demand generation and are essential to Mission’s success. This is a remote position based within a specific U.S. region, with at least 40% travel expected. Travel is primarily regional, including regular in-person engagement with AWS counterparts, Account Executives, and prospects at AWS hubs and customer sites.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to achieve quota in an outbound sales or prospecting role within a B2B environment. Ability to consistently achieve quota in an outbound sales or prospecting role in B2B environments
  • Experience in technology or IT sales, with a foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts
  • Experience independently researching companies, technologies, user information, and industry trends
  • Experience working collaboratively with teams and providing team support
  • Ability to build and manage customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently and determine best sales strategies in different contexts
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and contribute to team goals
  • Knowledge of a CRM tool
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Ability to travel, working in the field, at least 40% with flexibility for additional travel as needed
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (required within first 30 days of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify potential customer opportunities through cold calling, email outreach and outbound prospecting
  • Nurture and qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), ensuring seamless handoff to Account Executives
  • Follow up on leads and perform BANT qualification; hand off qualified leads to Account Executives
  • Achieve monthly sales quota by generating opportunities and wins
  • Communicate compelling value propositions around Mission Cloud services to potential customers
  • Understand customer pain points and requirements and how Mission Cloud services can address those needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with AWS counterparts
  • Attain daily metrics, including number of outbound calls and contacts made
  • Capture, track, and advance qualified leads in Salesforce
  • Utilize the demand generation tech stack to excel at quota achievement
  • Attend regional events, AWS hubs, and prospect meetings to deepen market presence and relationships
  • Spend time in the field with Account Executives and AWS sellers to align on strategies and support customer engagement
