About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned AWS Alliance Director responsible for managing and driving strategic partnerships between Datavail and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The position focuses on building, growing, and maintaining a productive relationship with AWS, with an emphasis on sales, marketing, and business development. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to build partnerships, drive revenue, and align business objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between Datavail and AWS, ensuring alignment on joint goals and maximizing the value of our partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic partnership management, business development, or a related field, with a strong focus on technology or IT services.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing high-level strategic alliances.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS products and services.
  • Experience with the AWS Partner Ecosystem and Partner portal.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability to drive business growth.
  • AWS certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture high-level relationships with AWS leadership, account managers, and partner teams to drive strategic alignment and collaboration.
  • Develop, drive, and execute the joint business plan between your organization and AWS, focusing on creating mutual value and growth.
  • Collaborate with AWS to co-develop go-to-market strategies, including joint marketing campaigns, events, and customer success initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the AWS ecosystem, including co-selling, referrals, and solution integrations.
  • Drive revenue growth by leveraging AWS programs, such as the AWS Competency Program, to enhance Datavail’s market positioning and service offerings.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of AWS-related opportunities, working closely with sales teams to close deals and achieve revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, ensuring that targets and goals are met, and address any issues hindering progress.
  • Align Datavail’s cloud offerings (e.g., managed services, cloud migration, DevOps, and data analytics) with AWS services to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
  • Stay ahead of AWS product releases, updates, and best practices to ensure Datavail remains a trusted and innovative AWS partner.
  • Partner with Datavail’s technical teams to design and implement AWS-based solutions that address customer pain points and drive business outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with sales, marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of AWS-related projects.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to internal teams on AWS capabilities, certifications, and partnership strategies.
  • Mentor and coach team members to build AWS expertise and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AWS partnership, including revenue, customer satisfaction, and joint project success metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to Datavail’s leadership on partnership progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure alignment with AWS funding programs (e.g., AWS Partner Funding) to maximize financial and operational support.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and AWS ecosystem developments to position Datavail as a leader in the cloud services market.
  • Leverage insights to inform strategic decisions, enhance Datavail’s competitive edge, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to AWS’s partnership guidelines and contractual obligations.
  • Address and resolve any issues or risks related to the partnership.
