About The Position

Awake Overnight Direct Care Staff (Wednesday-Satuday 11pm-9am) assist residents in developing parenting skills and completing daily tasks, while always maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality. The Awake Overnight Direct Care Staff are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the program during overnight hours, including completing hourly bed checks and monitoring the residence for any concerns. Shift: Wednesday-Satuday 11pm-9am

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with prior related work or volunteer experience. Or,anAssociate’sdegree with three prior years of experience working with adolescents in a similar environment.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training certification.
  • Experience with de-escalation skills.
  • Must understand andmaintainprofessional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a varied and occasionally difficult client population.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • A valid Massachusetts driver’s license andgood drivingrecord.
  • Ability to lift,pushand pull up to 10 pounds withoutassistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual, bicultural, Spanish speaking ability preferred.
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite anddata baseapplications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overnight supervision and support to Young Parent familiesresidingin the program.
  • Conduct and document hourly bed checks;maintaindetailed andaccuratelog notes.
  • Transport Young Parents to appointments and other local destinations in line with program policies, particularly those related to Service Plan related tasks.
  • Support Young Parents in developing skills for daily living and parenting through instruction and guidance.
  • Uphold and enforce program rules and policies while modeling respectful,appropriate behavior.
  • Administer andmonitorthe Medical Management Program as instructed by the Program RN.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all Young Parent families by adhering to program procedures and promptly reporting any issues to the Program Director ordesignee.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and apply de-escalation techniques as necessary; consistently follow safety protocols.
  • Participate in household chores to helpmaintaina clean, safe, and organized living environment.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly staff meetings, biweekly supervision sessions, and complete a minimum of 24 hours of job-related training annually.
  • Participate in all requiredagencyand division-wide meetings andtrainings.
