Allentown Works (AW) is a federally funded workforce initiative led by the Allentown Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with local partners. The program aims to get more than 650 residents within the City of Allentown employed by connecting them with training, childcare, transportation, and career pathways in high-demand industries like manufacturing and healthcare. Allentown Works Resource Coordinator Organization: Educational Data Systems, Inc. (EDSI) Project: Allentown Works – Workforce Access and Navigation Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania Reports To: PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley Program Director Overview The Allentown Works (AW) Resource Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the AW Resource Navigator team and manages the systems that connect residents with Allentown Works partner programs. This position ensures consistent, high-quality navigation, accurate data tracking, and close coordination among all partners. The Resource Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing and advancing the vision of Allentown Works; a vision rooted in opportunity, collaboration, and trust. This person is both results and people-centered, capable of both giving and receiving feedback from partners, and of turning challenges into coordinated solutions that strengthen the partner network and relationship with program participants. A natural team player and connector, the coordinator leads with empathy, clear communication, and accountability, ensuring that every effort contributes to a shared goal: helping Allentown residents thrive through meaningful work and community connection.
