About The Position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Treasury Services is responsible for overseeing and optimizing treasury operations within a healthcare organization, ensuring effective cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and financial risk management. This role supports the organization's financial stability and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal controls. Key Responsibilities Treasury Operations & Cash Management Oversee daily cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity management across hospitals, clinics, and affiliated entities. Manage cash flow planning to support operating, capital, and strategic Optimize working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue cycle interfaces. Banking & Financial Relationships Manage relationships with banks, investment managers, and financial service Negotiate and oversee banking services, fees, credit facilities, and treasury Ensure efficient use of treasury management systems (TMS) and banking Debt, Investments & Capital Structure Support debt management activities, including bond issuances, credit agreements, and covenant compliance. Oversee short-term and long-term investment strategies in alignment with organizational policies and risk tolerance. Coordinate with finance leadership on capital structure planning and funding Risk Management & Compliance Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risk. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, tax-exempt financing requirements, and internal treasury policies. Support internal and external audits related to treasury Leadership & Collaboration Lead and develop treasury staff, fostering a high-performance and compliance-focused Partner with accounting, revenue cycle, supply chain, and clinical leadership to align treasury strategies with operational needs. Provide treasury insights and reporting to senior leadership, finance committees, and boards as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive treasury, finance, or banking experience, preferably within healthcare or a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with healthcare systems, hospitals, or nonprofit organizations strongly
  • Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity planning, and treasury
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and regulatory
  • Proficiency with treasury management systems, ERP platforms, and financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced healthcare
