Job Overview: The AVP, Strategic Sourcing will lead cross-functional negotiations and vendor management initiatives to optimize cost, reduce risk, and enhance performance across Technology, Corporate Services, and Consulting categories. This role combines strategic sourcing expertise with relationship management and leadership to shape LPL’s vendor landscape and deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7–10 years in sourcing, with leadership experience and global capability center exposure (India preferred).
  • Expertise: Strong contracting and risk management skills; proven negotiation experience in financial services.
  • Leadership: Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Data-driven decision-making and ability to create executive-level presentations.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and organizational change management experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation and consensus-building abilities to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • Creative problem-solving and facilitation skills for complex business challenges.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and resilience in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sourcing strategies and lead major negotiations for high-risk, high-value contracts (MSAs, SaaS Agreements, SOWs).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Legal, FP&A, and Third-Party Risk to align contracts with business objectives and mitigate risk.
  • Lead RFx processes from requirements gathering through negotiation and contracting.
  • Mentor and develop sourcing talent while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Influence senior executives and build strong partnerships to align vendor strategies with LPL’s growth objectives.
