About The Position

The AVP, Strategic Sourcing will program manage and partner with third-party spend optimization and procurement governance initiatives, focusing on contract negotiation, integration, and spend tracking. This individual contributor role emphasizes project management, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable savings and support LPL’s sourcing objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 5-7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or vendor management experience
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation and consensus-building abilities to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • Creative problem-solving and facilitation skills for complex business challenges.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and resilience in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

  • Program manage third‑party spend optimization workstreams (contract negotiation, integration, disposition, and vendor rationalization), with clear timelines, deliverables, and RAID tracking.
  • Coordinate governance across Finance, Legal, Risk (TPRM), and Business Units to ensure policy compliance and clean documentation.
  • Run day‑to‑day execution: schedules, status, dependencies, issue/risk management, and stakeholder cadence.
  • Build and maintain basic reporting for savings realization and initiative status.
  • Prepare concise, executive‑ready updates for leadership forums and governance committees (content owned by VP; AVP assembles and quality‑controls).
  • Support RFx events as needed, ensuring alignment to policy and risk standards.
  • Keep the authoritative source of truth for contracts in scope (attributes, renewal dates, termination clauses, spend).
