The AVP, Workflow Automation Lead at Synchrony is responsible for driving workflow process automation using Microsoft Power Platform and related Microsoft 365 technologies. This role involves collaborating across functions to resolve complex problems through automation, strategizing the cloud collaboration technology roadmap, and managing escalations and change management activities related to SharePoint and Power Platform. The position emphasizes enhancing client collaboration, team productivity, and maintaining high security standards.

  • Drive workflow process automation using Microsoft Power Platform and related Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Collaborate across functions to help users resolve complex problems through automation.
  • Strategize the cloud collaboration technology roadmap and drive tool adoption.
  • Own escalations and change management activities related to SharePoint and Power Platform.
  • Lead operations for large mission-critical platforms including SharePoint, OneDrive, Nintex, and Power Platform.
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to citizen developers through coaching and mentorship.
  • Engage with architecture colleagues on UI, API, and service level with logic workflow and integration strategy.
  • Own development of highly customized intranet and custom solutions in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Configure and manage on-prem and cloud environments to ensure high availability and resilience.
  • Lead team and end user adoption campaigns for existing and future technology expansion including Power Platform and Azure.
  • Create processes and procedures using automation technologies that adhere to security, governance, and risk policies.
  • Perform a complex range of technical work activities to meet business and functional requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Adhere to Agile methodologies in the ongoing support, build, and release of custom solutions.
  • Ensure operational documentation is updated regularly to support the growing environment.
  • Develop best practice procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent compliance to client and company procedures.
  • Provide specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues and end users.
  • Incorporate automation wherever possible to eliminate unnecessary tasks and drive self-service automation.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large enterprise environments.
  • 6+ years' experience in migration of heavy workloads to cloud.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
  • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
  • Expert knowledge in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Nintex Workflows and Forms.
  • Expert in the Microsoft Power Platform to build and support automation and custom solutions.
  • Experience in designing, planning, and implementing procedures for optimization and security in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficient with server user management, file permissions, Active Directory, group policies, and security.
  • Experience in performing RCA and reporting after resolutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Strong debugging and problem analysis skills.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, Management, or other technical degree.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of conference room technology.
  • Experience with network and multiple OS platforms.
  • Strong program management skills and understanding of video collaboration technologies.
  • Experience working on large multi-tiered projects and programs.
