About The Position

Jefferies is seeking an individual with experience in various areas of both international and domestic security finance operations. Focusing on day-to-day processing, communicating with the sales desk on all concerns along with supervision of multiple functions within the stock loan space. Interacting with other departments within the operations team along with the outsourcing team to resolve issues and promote business expansion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in various areas of both INTL and Domestic Sec Finance with a primary focus on International.
• Fundamental understanding of Securities Lending mechanics and Trade lifecycles.
• Detailed knowledge of INTL Stock Borrow Settlement markets with a keen focus on Brazil/LATAM markets.
• Experience with Broadridge BPS and Gloss preferred.
• Understanding of stock record required.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge with Loanet, DTC, Gloss, EquiLend, Pirum, Swift and Global One.
• Experience with Microsoft product suite required.

Responsibilities

• Providing operational support for INTL Stock Borrow activities within the full lifecycle of a trade-with a primary focus on Brazil/LATAM markets.
• Back up support of US Stock Borrow processes.
• Operate as a SME for the Brazil SBL market, working directly with Equity trading desk to support their business.
• Processing mark to market and Stock Borrow returns when excess.
• Managing collateral movements in support of margin requirements, non cash activity, etc.
• Managing billing process with counter parties in Brazil.
• Monitor firm out of balances and depot breaks.
• Working with management and front office on new business initiatives.
• Assisting with internal and external audits - involving contract compare, marks and rebates / billing.
• Assist the outsourcing team with new processes, documentation of procedures and escalating operational concerns.
