About The Position

As an AVP, Sales, you’ll be responsible for strengthening relationships with key dealership partners, driving consistent sales processes, and leading high-impact engagements across the county. This role guides and supports Account Executives (AE) and Leadership in executing proven sales methodologies, conducting discovery meetings, delivering persuasive presentations, closing business and identifying opportunities that fuel revenue growth and profitability. The AVP of Sales serves as a national catalyst for business growth and acquisitions, ensuring alignment between dealership needs and the broader goals of the iA team. Requirements

  • Is known for their strategic planning and business analytics skills
  • Stands out for their executive presence and experience in facilitating business presentations.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Is recognized for excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Has at least 5 years of finance and insurance experience in automotive.
  • As well a minimum 2 years outside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Sales Process Execution Coach, mentor, and develop Account Executives to ensure consistent adoption of sales process, methodology, and best practices.
  • Participate in and lead discovery meetings, business reviews, and strategic presentations.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, sales performance, and forecasting to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
  • Establish accountability measures and performance expectations for the sales team.
  • Dealer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealership decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted consultant to dealership leaders, identifying needs and aligning solutions to drive mutual growth.
  • Address escalations, remove obstacles, and ensure exceptional service delivery to dealership partners.
  • Business Growth & Revenue Generation Identify new revenue streams, partnership opportunities, and market expansion possibilities across all regions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams--including Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance - to influence strategy and enhance value delivery.
  • Support national initiatives that expand the company's footprint and competitiveness.
  • Strategic Planning & Market Insights Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to inform product and sales strategies.
  • Provide senior leadership with insights, recommendations, and forecasting updates.
  • Help shape national sales strategies and contribute to annual planning processes.
  • Operational Excellence Ensure sales processes, documentation, and CRM usage remain consistent, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Oversee reporting, dashboards, performance analytics, and KPIs for continuous improvement.
  • Promote an operational culture focused on accountability, alignment, and customer success.
