The AVP, Product Development Engineering position at MetLife is a pivotal role within the Disability Technology team, which is spearheading a significant transformation in business and technology for claims and leave management. This position is based in Cary, NC, and operates in a hybrid work setting. As a leader in a Fortune 100 global company, the individual will be responsible for driving customer and operational value through effective migration practices, ensuring production stability, and developing new feature roadmaps for Disability Technology. The role involves managing the entire Disability Migration process, which encompasses data management, dependency management, testing, and stability. The AVP will work across various Disability technologies to uphold quality and production support levels while managing multiple streams of change work and customer migrations through end-to-end (E2E) testing, response service level agreements (SLAs), and continuous improvement initiatives. In this leadership role, the AVP will report directly to the VP of Disability Technology and will oversee a team that includes both program and technical leadership, managing both employee and strategic partner teams. The successful candidate will lead the Disability client data migration and testing process from start to finish, ensuring that integrated regression testing is conducted across multiple change streams to maintain stability for all clients. The role requires a strong focus on production support, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and effective partnership with multiple agile release trains to manage dependencies for new capabilities necessary for client migration. The AVP will also leverage client data analysis to drive structured implementation and feature reusability across migrated and new clients, ultimately achieving run rate savings through the retirement of legacy Disability applications.
