About The Position

The AVP, IAM Role Based Access Control Product Owner will lead the oversight, management and strategy of Synchrony’s Business and IT role configurations on Synchrony’s current identity governance platform, SailPoint IdentityIQ. This role will lead a team of analysts and senior analysts to ensure all Business and IT role configurations in Synchrony’s identity governance platform are accurate, compliant, attested and updated in a timely manner. This role will be the product owner of Synchrony’s identity governance role based access control agile product team, advancing Synchrony’s identity governance & technology strategic roadmap to enable and protect Synchrony’s workforce and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Technology or Business Management and 8 years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading identity governance processes and technologies in a regulated environment
  • At least 1 year experience as an identity and access management (IAM) process control owner
  • Minimum 5 years of role administration experience within SailPoint IdentityIQ

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an agile product owner / product manager working within the SAFE agile framework within Jira
  • Experience in IAM processes, focused on managing SailPoint IdentityIQ user access reconciliations within a large enterprise organization
  • Strong service and process design skills; especially in identity and access management

  • Deep understanding of business workflows and related business processes, and business impacts to/from Identity Management platforms

Responsibilities

  • Agile product owner of Synchrony’s Role Based Access Control process and platform, leading strategy, design and implementation, including oversight of all process controls, leveraging Synchrony’s SAFE Agile framework
  • Lead a team of analysts and senior analysts to ensure all entitlement, role and workgroup information in Synchrony’s identity governance platform is accurate, compliant, attested and updated within SLA
  • Own Synchrony’s role based access control risks and controls, interfacing with regulators, auditors and 2nd line of defense partners
  • Provide deep technical and process expertise for user access administration, configuration, and best practices, including SailPoint IdentityIQ integrations with other systems
  • Management & maintenance of entitlement, role and workgroup data required to support the execution of platform capabilities
  • Collaborate with other Synchrony technology teams to provide escalated product support, resolving escalated production issues and requests in a timely manner
  • Author, review, own and communicate role based access control documentation, including processes, controls, job aids and sequence/flow diagrams
  • Identify, prioritize and remediate process and technical features in Synchrony’s role based access control service in a timely delivery manner
  • Collaborate across a wide audience of stakeholders regarding business objectives, priorities, and impact to role based access control proposed enhancements
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to continuously improve teammates knowledge, sustaining a continuous learning culture
  • Attract talent to the identity and access management (IAM) organization through promotion of our identity technology and governance services
