The Global Animal Health Manufacturing (GAHM) IT Leader, is accountable for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) enablement of Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes within the company's Animal Health business unit which has dedicated manufacturing and supply chain sites. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain for human health and support function leaders to align, prioritize and secure funding for technology enablement initiatives and to ensure technology standardization, adoption and value pull-through to meet strategic and operational business objectives. The position has responsibility for the architecture, design, delivery and support of IT/OT technologies in alignment with ISA-95 standards. Critical areas of accountability include shop floor network and server infrastructure, internetworking, data enablement of Level 2 systems (HMI, SCADA, Batch, PLC and DCS) and configuration and support of Level 3 and 4 systems (MES, LIMS, WMS, CMM, ERP, Planning and Logistics). The successful individual will balance investments in modernization of deployed hardware and software assets over their lifecycle with the delivery of new automation capabilities in a way that maximizes of cost of goods improvements. The successful candidate will have experience supplying technology solutions within large-scale manufacturing operations, in this case, one characterized by dozens of sites operating across 15 countries, producing over 100 billion doses of biological, vaccines and pharmaceutical products annually with multi-billion dollar capital improvement and expansion programs underway. The selected candidate will have a bias for action, transparency and communication ensuring business stakeholders are well-informed of the status, risks and remediation recommendations associated with IT/OT initiatives, and will create and maintain an accounting of key business success metrics for each initiative as part of cross-functional governance reviews of areas of accountability. The selected candidate will be a critically important member of the Global Animal Health IT and senior leadership manufacturing teams and will staff, develop and inspire a large team of senior leaders, employees and contractors with deep expertise in Manufacturing and Supply Chain technologies, business processes, challenges and solutions.
