The Associate Vice President, FP&A and Operations is a new innovative hybrid role who provides strategic leadership in financial planning & analysis across the Altais organization, as well as a strategic Finance partner to Altais’ growing medical group operations. This role is a thought partner for Executive, Senior and Department leadership and is responsible for providing accounting and analytical support to drive strategic business decisions in medical group operations. This role is also accountable for delivering the monthly consolidated Altais financial report including an executive summary of key drivers of performance and performance variances. This role is responsible for making key business drivers visible and for delivering insightful and actionable analytics that drive strategic decision making for the organization. This role is also accountable for driving process improvement in the FP&A function, effectively leading and mentoring high-performing teams, and driving short and longer-term goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other quantitative field
  • Experienced leader and financial executive with 15+ years of broad, results– driven finance experience, ideally working with a hospital, health care plan or managed care environment
  • Experience in Adaptive Insights, Oracle, or other ERP/Planning software
  • Experience in analytical roles (Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Business Operations, Management Consulting)
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analyzing complex and large data sets
  • Experience in leading a highly functional team.
  • Inspiring, Visionary leader with Strategic decision-making skills with operational and financial acumen.
  • An engaged and collaborative interpersonal style which can build trusting relationships, teamwork, negotiate effectively, and lead as appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for annual operating budgets and forecasting of health plan, medical groups, and management services organization, including long-range business planning
  • Oversees, directs and delivers the monthly and quarterly financial packages (including executive performance narrative, variance analysis and exception reporting).
  • Drive and deliver industry research to inform financial planning and integration of key performance benchmarks into reporting and analytics.
  • Liaison between Altais Board, corporate finance and other business unit leadership to deliver insights and ensure understanding of key drivers and strategies that impact long term financial performance and metrics.
  • Oversees and directs the accounting operations for Altais medical group operations.
  • Partners with executive leadership of Altais medical group operations to provide revenue cycle analytics, clinical and operational performance analytics to support the achievement of organizational goals.
