Job Overview: LPL’s Financial Planning Group is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Assistant Vice President to drive the adoption of financial planning within affiliated institutions and large enterprises. In collaboration with Institutional Program leaders, the Financial Planning Success Consultant will develop detailed engagement roadmaps and deliver comprehensive consultations through in-person and virtual presentations to groups of LPL Advisors. This position can be full-time remote or based in one of LPL’s home offices. The individual will join a team of planning consultants within the Financial Planning Group, responsible for providing timely, accurate, and actionable guidance to LPL Financial Advisors and Enterprises across all areas of financial planning and practice support. Key areas of focus include running a profitable planning practice, leveraging planning software, creating process efficiencies, and assisting with technical financial planning questions. questions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in personal financial counseling within a professional services and/or a financial planning environment
  • 5+ years in a related sales or consulting function
  • CFP required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coach Advisors in person and in virtual meetings; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Confidence in speaking and presenting to large groups
  • Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations to large audiences
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning software; eMoney expertise is required
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Broad exposure to financial planning concepts and practices

Nice To Haves

  • Securities licenses 7, 63, 65, 66 are strongly preferred
  • Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce

Responsibilities

  • Consult with LPL Institutional Program Leaders to provide curated solutions that support the implementation and growth of financial planning across groups of LPL Financial Advisors.
  • Advise LPL Financial Advisors on all aspects of financial planning to increase adoption, improve efficiencies, and drive growth and plan penetration.
  • Create and deliver educational presentations to large groups of advisors on timely topics that influence financial planning activities and outcomes across the firm.
  • Execute a disciplined outreach strategy using a sales funnel approach with actionable next steps to increase financial planning awareness and adoption.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of comprehensive financial planning and the pillars of support provided by LPL’s Financial Planning Group.
  • Collaborate and influence key business partners across the wealth management organization to drive alignment and success.
  • Provide onboarding support for Advisors and Institutional partners, ensuring professionalism during home office visits and timely follow-up on advisor and internal business partner requests.
