About The Position

We are currently looking for an AVP, Claims Manager to join our Management Solutions Group. The selected candidate will lead and direct a team of Legal Claims Professionals in low to high exposure Claims in our Financial Institution Line of Business. The Claims Manager is expected to coordinate the work activities of the team, and has responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff. The Manager will also act as a technical resource for the team. This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results and is expected to manage internal and external customer relationships. The Claims Manager plays a critical role in interacting to exchange timely information with upstream claim managers, line of business underwriters, actuaries and finance, as well as developing, maintaining and servicing broker and account relationships. The selected candidate must be flexible to work across other Financial Lines teams as needed. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor and 8 or more years of Claims Handling or Insurance Defense experienceOR
  • Bachelors Degree and 9 or more years of Claims Handling or Insurance Defense experienceOR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 11 or more years of Claims Handling or Insurance Defense experienceAND
  • 3 or more years of management or leadership experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
  • Travel 0%-25%
