About The Position

Assistant Vice President (AVP), Financial and Strategic Transformation – Healthcare The AVP, Financial and Strategic Transformation, plays a critical leadership role in driving enterprise-wide financial performance, strategic initiatives, and transformation efforts across the healthcare organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership, clinical leaders, finance, and operations to design and execute strategies that improve financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and value-based care outcomes in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. The AVP leads complex transformation programs, aligns financial strategy with organizational goals, and ensures initiatives deliver measurable, sustainable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, strategy, consulting, or transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale financial or strategic transformation initiatives in healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and regulatory
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and lead cross-functional teams without direct

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise financial and strategic transformation initiatives, including cost optimization, revenue growth, margin improvement, and care delivery
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable financial and operational roadmaps with clear milestones, KPIs, and governance structures.
  • Serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on market dynamics, reimbursement trends, value-based care, and healthcare transformation opportunities.
  • Drive long-range financial planning, multi-year forecasting, and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial performance across clinical service lines, operations, and corporate functions.
  • Oversee business case development, ROI analysis, and financial impact tracking for major initiatives and capital investments.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align financial strategies with patient care, quality, and access goals.
  • Support service line strategy, growth initiatives, and performance improvement efforts through data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, supply chain, IT, and population health teams to drive integrated transformation efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to execute complex transformation programs on time and within budget.
  • Establish strong change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies to drive adoption and accountability.
