Organizational Overview: The AVP, Surveillance Support will be part of the Home & Auto organization in India, supporting surveillance activities related to our Surveillance pillar in CD & Sales Governance and partnering closely with U.S. stakeholders. Role Summary/Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Lifecycle Manager with a legal background as well as experience in governance and process oversight to join our team. The Contract Lifecycle Manager will be responsible for executing contract record reviews and approvals in the system of record, documenting and reporting contract defects, contract template maintenance and contract reporting. This role will partner extensively with business stakeholders as well as the sourcing team to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The Contract Lifecycle Manager will also act as the subject matter expert for the contract management tool; assisting with ongoing training and providing ongoing support to business users. This cross-functional position will develop, implement, and monitor contract management processes that promote transparency, mitigate risk, and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Supply Chain/Operations or Bachelor’s in Science with a focus on legal studies - minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry or in lieu of a degree 7 years of experience required.
  • Governance/process oversight skills such as internal audit or operational risk management background
  • Experience with contract management systems and contract administration including system migrations, user acceptance testing and data validations
  • Knowledge of process risk and control environments to ensure technology governance process execution
  • Experience leading complex, cross functional projects
  • Familiarity with financial services third-party risk management regulatory guidance

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of experience with standard contract terminology & comprehension
  • Strong execution skills ensuring a high-level of completeness and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Legal and Source to Pay Operations
  • Experience managing audits, quality assurance and governance activities

Responsibilities

  • Execute contract record reviews and approvals within the system of record
  • Document and report on contract record defects globally to leadership
  • Manage contract template maintenance in the system of record including but not limited to creation, editing and testing of variables
  • Maintain contract record reporting including contract status, data integrity, contract deviations & future payment obligations
  • Responsible for operational governance metric reporting for contract management
  • Ensure contract management and sourcing risks and controls are executed in accordance with the risk and control self-assessment processes
  • Assist with project management efforts including testing of technology releases & enhancements within the contract management tool
  • Act as the SME for the contract lifecycle management tool; coach and educate stakeholders on best practices and provide refresh training, as required
  • Engage the broader source to pay team to optimize usage of the contract lifecycle management tool
  • Execute ad hoc contract analysis related to regulatory exams, internal audits & internal testing
  • Maintain contract management Records Information Management detail and documentation
  • Rigorously manage compliance in accordance with applicable laws, government regulations and Synchrony policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as required
