Requirements

10+ years in data solution architecture, design, and platform engineering.
10+ years of progressive technology leadership in large, global financial institutions.
5+ years of expertise in AWS Data Platforms and MongoDB architecture.
Proven track record in infrastructure transformation using IaC.
Expertise in AWS services (S3, EFS, EC2, EBS, IAM, ECS, Lambda).
Experience leading migrations to AWS and modern data centers.
Expertise in cloud data platforms and modern data architecture.
Strong knowledge of OLTP, ODS, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
Agile mindset with experience in DevOps and Continuous Delivery.
Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
Highly collaborative with strong influencing skills.

Nice To Haves

AWS LZ, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, RedShift, Snowflake.
CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible).
Agile methodologies: Scrum/Kanban.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong executive presence.

Responsibilities

Data Platform Modernization
Lead transformation of database platforms focusing on PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
Drive migration strategies for data platforms to AWS and modern architectures.
Strategic Architecture Leadership
Collaborate with IT stakeholders to develop and execute multi-year technology strategies.
Align tools and platforms with modern data stack principles and enterprise architecture standards.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Accelerate infrastructure provisioning through IaC to enable self-service and reduce handoffs.
Optimize operational workflows for scalability and resilience.
Operational Excellence
Provide Tier 3 engineering support ensuring effective 24x7x365 coverage.
Integrate disaster recovery processes into daily operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong partnerships with Architecture, Security, Application Development, and Operations teams.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies.
