Baptist Health is looking for an AVP, Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations and PBM to join their System Pharmacy team! The AVP, Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations & PBM provides enterprise-wide leadership for the planning, coordination, and execution of ambulatory pharmacy operations, specialty pharmacy services, and PBM strategy across the health system. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that advance clinical quality, operational efficiency, financial performance, and patient experience within specialty and ambulatory pharmacy services. The AVP leads enterprise PBM strategy for Baptist Health employees and dependents, including oversight of utilization management, formulary governance, and coordination of PBM operational processes with system specialty pharmacy, central pharmacy, and community pharmacy leadership. The role ensures alignment between ambulatory pharmacy operations and PBM functions to improve access, affordability, and outcomes, while monitoring key performance indicators and executing performance improvement initiatives across the enterprise. This position is accountable for establishing and enforcing standardized operational policies, procedures, and governance structures that drive efficiency, cost containment, and regulatory compliance across ambulatory and specialty pharmacy services. The AVP provides executive oversight for specialty pharmacy accreditation, regulatory readiness, and quality assurance, while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and payer requirements. In partnership with the Chief Pharmacy Officer, the AVP develops and executes external ambulatory and specialty pharmacy strategy, including expansion of partnerships with health systems, employers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and other strategic organizations to support growth, prescription fulfillment, and enterprise pharmacy objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Pharm D from accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current Kentucky and Indiana Pharmacist License or eligible
  • 5+ years of related community pharmacy experience required
  • 3+ years of related community pharmacy management experience required
  • Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and other pharmacy related applications (Omnicell, Epic, Parata) preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of PGY-1/PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in administration preferred
  • Board certification or other advanced certification preferred
  • Master’s Degree preferred
