Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Active secret clearance required to start
  • 4+ years of avionics or weapons systems maintenance experience, preferably in a military or defense environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and configuration of integrated avionics and weapons systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) and Air Force documentation systems such as IMDS.
  • Familiarity with AFI 21-101, TO 00-20-1, and AMP processes.
  • Experience with M240 maintenance, chaff/flare uploading, and explosive handling (e.g., squibs).
  • On-site work required; shift work mandatory and not limited to a single shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military helicopter maintenance experience strongly preferred; experience on MH-139 Grey Wolf or similar platforms is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and configure aerospace vehicles and test equipment by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading components to correct failures or implement engineering changes.
  • Oversee aircraft assembly, disassembly, and overhaul operations with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, fire control, electro-environmental, and bomb navigation systems—both on and off equipment.
  • Perform validation/verification testing of integrated systems and components to confirm operability.
  • Conduct explosive operations, including loading, unloading, arming, and safing of conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics.
  • Execute configuration changes to weapons control, launch, release, and suspension systems based on mission requirements.
  • Inspect and verify flight worthiness of components and systems per military and FAA standards.
  • Document maintenance actions and test results in accordance with TOs and established procedures.
  • Utilize technical systems and tools including IMDS and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and data management.
  • Provide on-the-job training and oversight to less experienced technicians.
  • Work on a rotational shift schedule, currently 2 shifts, with a potential for a future 3rd shift.
