You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate test execution and high-quality, flight-ready hardware.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols is a hard requirement.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience performing electrical and thermal testing at the board or subassembly level.
  • Experience executing tests from written procedures, work instructions, or test plans in a controlled environment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical test equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and sensors, such as RTDs, thermocouples, or similar measurement devices.
  • Foundational understanding of electrical principles, including voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and basic signal behavior.
  • Very strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and follow engineering documentation and procedures
  • Demonstrated safety-first mindset, particularly when working with energized hardware or temperature extremes.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing aerospace or spaceflight avionics hardware in a high-reliability environment
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • Understanding of failure analysis and root-cause investigation related to electrical or sensor anomalies.
  • Prior experience supporting prototype hardware testing or early-stage development programs.
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced engineering environment where adaptability and initiative are valued.
  • Passion for space exploration

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional and verification testing of avionics hardware and subassemblies at the board level in accordance with engineering procedures/requirements.
  • Execute electrical testing using multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems to validate performance and identify faults
  • Set up, operate, and monitor test fixtures, harnesses, and instrumentation to support avionics hardware testing.
  • Follow controlled test procedures, work instructions, and test plans with strict adherence to configuration and revision control.
  • Identify and document test anomalies, failures, or out-of-family behavior, and escalate findings to engineering as needed.
  • Verify proper installation, calibration, and operation of sensors and measurement devices prior to test execution.
  • Collect, review, and validate test data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability to the tested avionics hardware.
  • Support debug and re-test activities following hardware modifications or corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development, refinement, and validation of test procedures and test setups in collaboration with engineering.
  • Maintain test logs, configuration records, and test reports in accordance with quality and program requirements.

Benefits

  • In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
