About The Position

The Avionics Technician performs troubleshooting, repair, installation, and inspection of aircraft avionics systems in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and CAS maintenance standards. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of communication, navigation, and electrical systems while supporting heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and modification projects. An A&P license is required for this position.

Requirements

  • Valid A&P license (required).
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with digital and analog avionics systems.
  • Must meet all FAA, company, and customer requirements for aircraft access and training.
  • Ability to work overtime, various shifts, and in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces or elevated platforms.
  • Comfortable working outdoors or in hangar environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of avionics experience in an MRO or commercial aviation environment (preferred).
  • Experience with Boeing, Airbus, or regional aircraft platforms preferred.
  • FCC license or avionics technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and flight control systems.
  • Perform wiring inspections, continuity checks, connector work, and component replacements.
  • Install, test, and certify avionics equipment and system upgrades in accordance with engineering orders and technical documentation.
  • Use diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software to evaluate system performance and verify proper operation.
  • Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and timely per FAA, CAS, and customer standards.
  • Collaborate with A&P Mechanics, Structures Technicians, and Engineering to support work packages and scheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with CAS quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in shift briefings, follow work instructions, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
