What you can expect as an Avionics Maintenance Technician at West Star: Our Avionics Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e., Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, and Autopilot Systems), as well as the aircraft systems. You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS, including: Perform general avionics support items on aircraft. This shall include, but not be limited to, items such as removal and installation of panels and components, and repair work. Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated. Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated. Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems. Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations. Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles. Work independently on projects. Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
